Karmaloop is looking for an Assistant Manager for their customer service department and business operations. All references and backgrounds will be checked.
Job Description:
- Assist the manager in running day to day operations of the department
- Manage a dynamic team along side the manager and working with other executives
- Manage and review the work times of the staff and their work load
- Work analysis of the team and business analysis of the department
- Handle escalated phone calls, emails, and help assist customers with complex issues
- Organize and plan meetings, coordinating with vendors and outsourcing company
- Create and implement strategies and policies for the department and company
- Help negotiate contracts and Service Level Agreements/KPI
- Answer incoming phone calls to make and manage orders
- Make outgoing phone calls to follow up on orders
- Answering and follow up on e-mails from vendors, customers, and other departments/companies
- Manage database of invoice and other programs to ensure job completion
- Communicate with customers, vendors, and other departments/companies
Ideal Candidate will possess the following:
- 1-2 years experience in a leadership role, preferably in customer service
- Strong background in managing people and various personalities
- Very good verbal and written communication skills
- Energetic, outgoing personality with dedication to business
- Analytical and reporting skills with keen problem solving abilities
- Ability to proficiently handle priorities and efficient time management
- Excellent organizational skills and self motivated

Senior Web Developer - Full Time Position - C# - ASP.NET (Boston, MA)
Develop Internet Applications using ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, Atlas/Ajax, SQL Server 2005, MySQL, JQuery, JavaScript and other web development languages and technologies.
The Web Developer will be expected to work on a technically broad range of projects, and must have very strong design and implementation skills in web applications, database design and management, mobile / wireless, and rich media applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Design, develop, and deploy new database-driven web applications, and maintain existing web applications.
* Ability to lead a team of 3 web developers
* Draft both Functional and Technical Specifications documents using UML and/or other such standards.
* Administer various servers Windows 2000, and Windows 2003 servers.
* Maintain several database servers, including MySQL and MS SQL servers.
* Provide basic IT support which includes setting up and maintaining internal networks and other such services
REQUIREMENTS
* 5+ years experience developing web applications using ASP / COM+, ASP.NET 1.1/2.0/3.5, PHP, Perl, SQL, stored procedures.
* 3+ years experience in SQL programming
* Relational Database Design / Erwin / Visio Data Modeler
* UML Software Architecture and Design
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work well in a team environment and brainstorm with other Developers/ Senior Developers on ideas, work flow, technologies, and processes.
* Experience with building web services
* Experience managing small teams
* Involvement in all stages of software/website development cycle
